How should I wash my bras?

To get the longest life from your bras and delicates, hand washing is best. Use a mild detergent like Forever New, which rinses cleanly and preserves elasticity. Add a small amount to a basin of cool or lukewarm water, swish your delicates, let them soak for up to 45 minutes, then rinse with cool or lukewarm water. Gently wring out excess moisture and hang to dry.

If you prefer a washing machine, place your items in a mesh lingerie bag, close the bag, and wash on the gentle or hand-wash cycle using cold water and a small amount of detergent. Never put bras or delicates in the dryer — the heat and agitation will break down elastic fibers and structure much faster.

For the best results, don't wear the same bra multiple days in a row. Give each bra a day off between wearings so the elastic can recover, and launder about every third wear or sooner if needed. Hang bras over a bar between the cups to dry — never by the straps or band, as this can cause stretching.
