Why can't I get any lift from my bra?
If you're constantly tightening your straps trying to get lift, the real issue is almost certainly the band. A well-fitting bra does most of its lifting from the band — the straps only provide about the last 15% of support. For the band to do its job, it needs to sit snug and parallel to the floor against your body.
If the band is too large, it rides up in the back and all the lifting power is lost. Making sure your band size is correct is the single most impactful change you can make. Beyond sizing, certain bra styles provide more lift than others — this is where an experienced fitter can make a real difference.
Visit any Allure location for a complimentary fitting and our team will find a bra with the right amount of lift for your body. No appointment needed.
